GRAVEL FAQ

  • How much gravel do I need for my driveway?

    Great question, we can come out and do the measurement (free of charge) and discuss your preferences, desired outcome, and material options. If you have the measurements, we can calculate how much material you will need based on the type of material you would like.

  • Do you deliver gravel?

    Yes, we do deliver gravel. We have a 5-ton minimum, but we can give you a reference for someone that delivers material under that amount.

  • What is the cost of gravel per ton?

    The cost varies based on the selected material. Give us a call at the Scale House(505-485-0035) and we will be glad to answer your questions.

  • What is the best kind of gravel for a driveway?

    There are a couple of different options to choose from. We recommend that if the driveway is virgin ground, it is best to place Road Base before placing gravel on the driveway. We have a standard driveway gravel that is ¾” Crushed Rock. We also highly recommend a 3/8” Crushed Rock, which will lay smoother and provide an easier surface to walk on.

  • How fast can you deliver gravel?

    In a lot of cases, we are able to deliver on the same day the order is placed, depending on our schedule and the delivery location. If the delivery location is further out of city limits in the tri-city area, then we usually schedule the delivery. If we have availability, we may still be able to deliver on the same day, but we prefer to schedule the delivery so we can secure that time to meet your needs.

  • Do you sell bulk gravel?

    Yes. We have provided large amounts of material for various industries and projects. We have a wide variety of materials and also offer delivery.

  • Can I pick up gravel myself?

     Yes, we will load pickups and trailers.

  • Do you supply gravel for French drain?

    We carry 1 ½” Crushed Rock as well as 3” Crushed Rock. Both materials work great for French Drains.

  • Is gravel better than mulch for landscaping?

    Gravel is more suitable than mulch in certain areas but ultimately it comes down to the type of landscaping that is being done, and personal preference.

  • How do I calculate gravel for a project?

    It ’s  fairly easy if you follow these steps:
