Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass background check & drug screening
- Flexibility to work extended hours & weekends
- Commitment to safety
- Previous experience operating and maintaining wash plant equipment, preferably in the aggregates or mining industry
- Knowledge of crushing, screening, and washing processes for aggregate production
- Current MSHA certification
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills and willingness to learn new tasks
Daily Duties
- Operate and monitor the wash plant equipment, including crushers, screens, conveyors, and pumps to process raw materials into clean aggregates.
- Adjust equipment settings and controls to achieve optimal production and quality targets.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or operational issues, taking corrective action as necessary to minimize disruptions to production.
- Monitor the quality of washed aggregates to ensure compliance with product specs and customer requirements.
- Conduct periodic sampling and testing of materials to verify quality and consistency.
- Regulate and adjust the wash plant process as needed to maintain product quality and maximize yield.
- Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and site personnel to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Maintain awareness of potential hazards on-site and report any safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
- Assist with site cleanup activities, including clearing debris, maintaining roads, and ensuring that work areas are clean and organized.
