Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass background check & drug screening
- Previous experience operating loaders in a quarry or similar environment
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing on/off equipment and working in outdoor environments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work extended hours & weekends
- Commitment to safety
- Proficiency in operating loaders and a strong understanding of loading techniques
- Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures or willingness to learn
- Current MSHA certification
Daily Duties
- Operate loader or other heavy equipment to efficiently and safely load materials into crusher and onto trucks/trailers for transportation.
- Ensure the proper placement of materials to optimize crusher efficiency and preserve clean, organized stockpiles.
- Work closely with crusher operators to coordinate loading activities, monitor material flow, and adjust loading techniques as needed.
- Conduct pre/post-operational inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of equipment (loader and other equipment as necessary) including regular cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with dispatcher, supervisors, site personnel, and drivers to determine correct material to load customers trucks/trailers with.
- Assist with site cleanup activities, including clearing debris, maintaining roads, and ensuring that work areas are clean and organized.
- Maintain awareness of potential hazards on-site and report any safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
