- Geographical knowledge of service area or ability to understand maps
- Knowledge of concrete industry is recommended but not required
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve
- Self-starter with attention to detail
Daily Duties
- Understanding different mix designs and their intended uses.
- Answering customer calls, taking/scheduling orders, and providing advice to customers about material selection.
- Keeping accurate schedules and determining which shifts all CDL drivers will be working to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate via radio with CDL Drivers, Loader Operator, and Batch Plant Hand throughout the day to assign deliveries and duties.
- Provide CDL drivers with location of deliveries and assistance with direction by utilizing GPS tracking.
- Operating and troubleshooting Batch Plant Operations through control room and CCTV.
- Maintaining accurate inventory and placing orders when material is not at sufficient levels.
- Conducting weekly safety training and recording/filing attendance.
- Ensuring that pre/post trip inspections are complete.
- Record keeping, filing, and data entry.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dispatch facility throughout shift.
